It has been rather quiet around Meisaku’s progress and development. It almost seemed that the project was going to be short-lived. There are plans however to a whole new approach in setting up the website and forum. In time, new life will be blown into the Meisaku project, hopefully making it better than it was. Stay tuned.
During the Abunai! Legendary convention, almost a week ago, the winners of this year’s Meisaku Exclusive Art contest have been announced. The top 3 contestants were:
1st place: Nat-chan
2nd place: Anna Verhagen
3rd place: Eien-no-Melody
Pictures of the event were taken but unfortunately they have not been made available to us yet, so it will have to wait. I would like to congratulate all those who have participated in the contest and send us all their great work. The illustrations will be posted on the forum in a couple of days. Since the responses for the contest were positive, we have decided to organize another contest next year, so check back often for more details.
Registration and submission of illustrations for the Meisaku contest is now officially closed. We would like to thank all those who have sent in their artwork within the deadline. There has been some work that came in after the weekend of the deadline; we would like to inform that these works have been accepted. We will soon begin to evaluate everyone’s work and judge accordingly; may the best artist win.
The deadline for the Meisuku Exclusive Art Contest 2008 is due in 5 days. A couple of submissions have already been received and we’re expecting the rest of them to arrive by the end of the week. Starting from the 1st of September, all entries will be examined thoroughly and judged accordingly. For all those who had submitted their work: good luck!
Rebuilding a forum from scratch is a lot of work. Although I was afraid I had to re-write entire sections, I was able to recover some things thanks to Google’s site cashing. Once the more important parts have been recovered, I will start working on the style and layout of the forum (which will be a pain). Luckily I know a couple of people who are experienced with these things so they will help me out with it.
If you had an account at the old forum, you will have to make a new one; don’t worry though, you don’t have to put much effort into it as you’re not required to go through the whole email confirmation process. Just create an account and get started.

Just when I was beginning to work on the web page for Meisaku and things were finally beginning to take shape, someone took it upon himself to hack into the forum database and mess everything up. Such things happen and I could’ve probably prevented a total loss of information, but I guess things like that can only be said after the damage is done.
So, what now? Well, I’m just going to put in twice the effort and rebuild everything from scratch. This is also a good opportunity to keep the news updates and forum information separated. It will be a slow process to get back on track, but I don’t mind. I won’t give up.
I hope I can count on everyone’s support as I take on this new challenge. There is a new type of forum up, but there isn’t much to see right now. I have to rewrite a lot of stuff and arrange the way stuff looks, so check back often as it develops. I’d like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding in the matter.

The first step of putting up a decent welcoming page has been taken. I’m hoping to get a lot more information posted as soon as possible so that everyone will finally know what the Meisaku Project is all about. Everything is still new to me, so progress will be a bit slow at first.
